Wonderful food every time. Delicious pho, fabulous chicken wings, the beef grill is the tastiest meat on a stick, and the pork bùn is always sweet and fresh!
Best place to eat
Go-to Vietnamese! Family owned and operated. Always fresh and delicious!
Really good food. Nice and quiet inside with nice decorations. Pho is really good and good portions.
Go for the Pho and beef skewers, you won't be disappointed. Great service and reasonable prices. The free tea and cup of soup before your meal is almost worth the trip itself.
I really liked the Pho.
Bright and fresh, or warm and saucy...they have a wide selection of good favorites. Vietnamese friend rice, rice noodle stir fry, fresh spring rolls and noodle soups are good.
The food is good and the workers are very nice. Don't let the looks fool you, when you drive by it looks a bit run-down, but the food is good, service is friendly and the Pho is great!
Food is taste great! Atmosphere are too much stuffs, flowers, trees, wreath, like amazon and Xmas decorations all year round. Please take them down after the holidays are over! But We will come again for the great food!
Probably one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Unfortunately the pork bun is so good I always get it and haven't tried much else. The pho is great (hubby usually gets it) and I love the beef grill. I love that the meals always begin with a pot of tea and egg drop soup.
Best vinamese food in the whole state. The service is super good also. Our waiter is super friendly and helpful. Food is phenomenal
Always fresh, the best pho around. Family owned always friendly and happy to see us
Dodd was okay, however the Male server was not inviting, acted as if we were imposing upon him. I felt he was cold to the point of being very rude. There is another vietnamese restaurant Cross the street where the food is much better and very friendly employees. I won't go back to Saigon Restaurant.
Great food, great service, easy 5 stars
Stellar Bahn Mi and so cheap for a fantastic sandwich. Can’t wait to go back.
Great foods, nice service. Thank you. Mi vit tiem is really good.
The food was delicious. I was very surprised to see Phnom Penh Style noodles on the menu. It was on point & the service was excellent. We will be back!
Great selection of Asian food. Reasonably priced. Excellent service. Closed until August for vacation. 😿
I will definitely go back here .
Easily one of the best restaurants in Portland. Convenient parking is a real plus too. The pho is perfectly done as is the bun. Also the owners are lovely.
Good food and friendly service.
Overwhelmed with the menu. Waitress was incredibly kind. thank
A very cozy place to enjoy great vietnamese food. The Family and staff are always so kind. Best Pho in Portland!
Nice community restaurant. Nearly every (somewhat oddly-sized) table was taken when we arrived on a Tuesday evening. Wanted to like the food. But meat in pho tasted frozen and was too thickly cut. Wife and I both woke up with slight stomach upset.
I've been here quite a few times and I've always felt warmth and kindness from the place. The menu is easy to read and the service is just the right level of attentive for me. They respond to smiles with more care, which I think is nice and rare. I sat there with a friend once and an older guy came in, was greeted by a hug, told his friend had called ahead the order and they immediately brought his food out for him to enjoy on his own, but it honestly looked like he was eating with family after the interaction with the staff. The question you all came here to read about is the broth so let me get to it: superb. Super hot and flavorful, clear and aromatic. The jalapeno is always fresh and that's something I've struggled with other places; I'm from the midwest and I need jalapeno. Noodles and meats are good and you can't stop eating. So so so good. I've come here on good days, bad days, and everything in between and always felt very warm leaving.
Excellent food. Great service. Fair prices. Definitely will be back.
Great food, I think this is the best soup and noodles around Portland. Takeout or delivery is best. Limited seating inside but very fast service. Highly recommended.
My absolute favorite Vietnamese restaurant!!! The staff are always polite. They get your order in and it never takes more than 15 minutes from the time the order is placed until it's on your table. (Exclude VERY busy nights)
Best pho around, and we tried them all. The broth is perfect.
Good food, friendly service, want to go back to try more items from the menu.
Favorite pho place all time. Other menus are all Tasty!!
Constantly good food every visit. The meal starts off with a cup of exceptionally well prepared soup. The pho is excellent. This visit I had the lunch size shrimp and veggies in oyster sauce. Lots of shrimp and flavor.
Quality of ingredients is okay but not impressed. Dinner chicken dish was $15 and it was very fatty n thigh meat. Noodles were low quality and seasonings lacked. I don't recommend.
So so good!
Crab rangoons out of this world.... enough that I will be coming back for a bahn mi soon or more! Loved it so much!!
One of my favorite places to go for lunch. Excellent service and reasonably priced entres.
The best bowl of Pho in town! A must.
Food is always fresh, and well prepared.
Friendly and fun service. Great food. A little chilly inside, but not too cold.
Used to love Saigon but they've stopped using adequate sauce on their noodle dishes. After multiple trips to see if my flavorless noodles we're a fluke, I think we've finally given up on ordering here.
One of my wife's and my favorite restaurants in Portland! Hands down the best pan fried dumplings I've ever had and easily some of the best pho in town. Their house made chili sauce also sets them apart.
My entire family loves Saigon! The food is authentic, the customer service is great! They give you an appetizer soup as soon as you sit down. The experience they provide is comparable to when you were a kid and went to your grandmothers house- she would feed you, it didn't matter if you were hungry or just ate- she would give you something to eat before you had a chance to close the door behind you! The entire staff is as warm and inviting as their Pho. We go there so often they are like family at this point
Best Pho in town!
I believe this is the all time best place for pho. I’ve lived near LosAngeles and Boston and Orlando and I’ve been to SE Asia and this is the place right here in Portland Maine that I have found so far to be the best! The other dishes are excellent too. The Jasmine hot tea is also the finest I’ve ever had except when I visited in Vietnam or Cambodia. They purchase it locally in Vietnam which is why it’s excellent. Also the oranges they serve at the end are also top quality, like none other. This family that runs the restaurant are very personable and they know how to cook genuine Vietnamese food. But its not too spice either because they understand American taste buds. Don’t miss out on this place!
One of our favorites. Delicious and reasonably priced.
The food is great, the service was fast and friendly. Lots of other Asian restaurants in the atea, Saigon had the most cars in the parking lot, always a good sign.
There are a lot of restaurants in town but this is definitely one of my favorites. Affordable, friendly and very tasty across the board. My go to is the R5 though. If you haven’t given them a chance you’re missing out...
